See the banana the monkey is holding? I paid 10baht to buy a banana bunch to feed the monkeys. Turns out if you are holding bananas then the monkeys rush you and tug on your clothes and since our tour guide told us they have rabies (which I don’t believe for a second I think it’s just a ploy so people don’t treat them like house cats and try to pick them up and cuddle them) I was afraid I’d get bitten. So I may have panicked a little. There may have been some screaming. I’m not proud of it but nor do I have a festering monkey bite turning me into the walking dead. “Dead Alive” anyone? Come on people, Peter Jackson’s first movie?!?
